Elsburg police visit day care to talk to toddlers
Elsburg SAPS visited Kids of Christ Day Care in Elsburg on February 17 to host a school talk.
The little ones were visited by Elsburg sector one manager Sgt Erin Palmer, sector two manager WO Annanious Masenya and communications officer Sgt Daphney Phooko.
“The aim of the visit was to address toddlers about crime and how to contact police if they are in emergency situations. It’s important to teach children these things because you may never know when they would such information. Preparing them and educating them is important,” said Phooko.

She said they also use these talks to encourage children to ask to teachers and parent if they suspect criminal activities.
“It’s important we teach children and assure them the police and teacher are friends and that we will always do our level best to assist them when they need help,” said Palmer.
