Two suspects wanted for murder and attempted murder

The police are appealing for information that could help trace two suspects wanted for murder and attempted murder after they allegedly shot and killed a man in Gxoba Street, Extension 23, Ratanda, on May 22.

According to police reports, the deceased and the survivor were attacked by two unknown men while they were standing at the front gate of the survivor’s home.

Sedibeng SAPS spokesperson Capt Thivhulawi Tshilate said the victims were approached by two men, and one of the suspects produced a firearm and fired several shots at them.

“The deceased sustained gunshot wounds to the face and chest, while the survivor ran into the house with no injuries. Four empty cartridges were found on the scene. The motive of the attack is unknown,” said Tshilate.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

They are appealing to anyone who might know the whereabouts of the suspects to anonymously contact the Ratanda station commander on 082 822 8180, the MySAPS app, SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or SMS the Crime Line on 32211.
