Primrose SAPS, EMPD and Primrose crime-prevention youth desk members visited Primrose High School to promote a safer learning environment.

Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome said these visits to schools are important as it offers a chance for learners to interact with the police.

“We are aware of incidents where learners bring weapons and illegal substances to school.

“As part of crime-prevention we decided to visit all schools in our area so that learners will know that at any given time, the police can visit the school. We also aim to inform them about the consequences of carrying a weapon,” said Maome.

The acting station commander Lt Col Mbazima Maswanganyi applauded the partnership with various stakeholders.
