Kathorus BMW Club continues giving back
The sanitary pads will be donated to Motingathi Primary School at Mavimbela section, Katlehong.
Kathorus BMW Club recently made their second visit to Helping Hands NPO as part of their monthly charity drive, at Matsemela Street, Thokoza.
The BMW Club donated sanitary pads, toothbrushes, soap, food and 141 pack of sanitary pads.
The founder of Helping Hands NPO, Nthabiseng Mofokeng, was happy to receive the donation. She said the food will be donated to needy families while some will be kept for feeding schemes.
The sanitary pads will be donated to Motingathi Primary School in Mavimbela Section, Katlehong, she added.
She said although they would like to have their feeding scheme weekly, they do not have the funds to run the initiative weekly.

The NPO has resorted to only running the feeding scheme when funds are available or when they have sponsors.
“This donation will help many families living in informal settlements like Emalahleni, Crossroad, Sakhile and Phola Park.
“It will make a huge difference because at the time we requested donations we already have a list of people waiting for donations. I would like to thank BMW and may God continue blessing them even more,” said Mofokeng.
“We only feed communities when we have the money to buy food, the last one we had at Crossroad informal settlement was through a donation from Lebo’s Pick n Pay Market,” she said.
The founder of Kathorus BMW Club, Siphiwe Mdaka, said they were happy to give back as they realised the NPO is helping the community.
He said he was in search of NPOs in Thokoza as most NPOs are based in Katlehong and Vosloorus.
“I identified them through a news article in Kathorus MAIL I saw and I recognised they are doing charity work. When I arranged to meet with them, I found that the founder is actually my former school mate,” said Mdaka.
