Planned water supply interruption for Germiston postponed

CoE stated residents will not be affected by Rand Water’s planned 54-hour shutdown from Monday 15 November.

The City of Ekurhuleni announced the water supply interruption, announced scheduled for Germiston this weekend has been postponed.

Rand Water was due to conduct maintenance work and tie-ins on its pipeline from November 12 to 14, affecting the water supply to Albemarle, Dinwiddie, Wadeville, Germiston East Industrial, Castleview, Lambton, Raceway Industrial and Gosforth Park.

A new date for the work will be communicated.

CoE stated residents will not be affected by Rand Water’s planned 54-hour shutdown from Monday 15 November.

The plant that is being maintained does not directly affect CoE operations, and any change to the Rand Water plans will be communicated to the city’s customers.
