Lucky Muthelo, Liverpool head coach, said despite the losses, his boys are showing signs of improvement and a hunger to win their next league game.

“The first half was exciting to watch because both teams played very well, scoring five goals before half-time,” said Muthelo.

He said Bakgatla led 3-2.

Liverpool Development Club suffered their second Germiston Super League loss.

In the second half, Liverpool pressed to score the equaliser, but it was Bakgatla that prevailed by adding another goal to the scoreline to secure a 4-2 win.

“The second half of the game was difficult for us because we were chasing the game. This allowed our opponents to exploit the holes in the back.

“Our boys’ performance deserves a round of applause despite the results because they are young players competing against more senior footballers,” said Muthelo.
