The team dominated throughout the season, registering 43 points, one draw and no losses.

Lucky Muthelo, the club’s coach, said the team’s performance is one of the best so far.

“The feeling of being champions cannot be described. The celebrations come with more joy as we also celebrate our 10-year anniversary as a club.

“We are waiting for the association and SAFA to give direction as to which division we are supposed to be promoted to,” said Muthelo.

Liverpool Development Club was crowned the GLFA u-17 champs.

Players were also awarded individual awards to commend their excellence on the field.

“Kabelo Pitso was named the top goal-scorer of the year with 21 goals,” said Muthelo.

Regardless of their GLFA success, they are struggling to duplicate their success in the Germiston Super League.

“We have not won a single match in five games. We are left with 13 matches to be played,” said Muthelo.
