Bertha Gxowa Hospital Care centre visits school for educational health talk

Bertha Gxowa Hospital Care Centre visited Institute Status Acres Combined School for an awareness campaign on child abuse, teenage pregnancy, bullying and substance abuse.

A health talk was also presented to Grade 10 to 12 learners.
Learners had an opportunity to ask questions.

“Such talks are important because they can help learners who might be affected by these issues but have no one to talk to,” said Hazel Moagi, hospital operational manager.

Moagi said such awareness is needed at schools.
