The Makause-based football club welcomed the donation.
According to coach Philani Ncube the donation came at the right time as they are preparing to compete at the Germiston Local Football Association (GLFA) League for another season.
“We now look like a team. It is no secret that we don’t have a sponsor and as a team need assistance,” said Ncube.
“The kit will benefit our u-13 and u-15 teams and this donation will boost our confidence as a team when we play in the league,” he said.
“We still need support in transporting us to away games. The senior team needs sponsorship of R2 000 to affiliate to the GLFA league,” said Ncube.
Sidwell Makgatho, Burning Stars assistant coach, said the team relies on donations.
“The players receive peanut butter sandwiches from the Ithemba Soup Kitchen every week,” said Makgatho.
