Sexual offence awareness campaign in Makause

Residents sensitised on social issues.

The Primrose SAPS, Ekupholeni NGO, Ekurhuleni local drug action committee and Youth Desk members conducted a domestic violence, drugs and sexual offences awareness campaign.

The campaign was hosted at Makause informal settlement on May 12.

Sgt Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS corporate communications officer, said it was a door to door campaign.

“We handed out 300 pamphlets featuring safety tips,” said Maome.”

The station commander Col Eunice Nzuza commended the members involved in the campaign.

“Together we can make our communities a safe place again,” said Nzuza.
