Ekurhuleni Golden Games Spruitview winners

Senior citizens around the Ekurhuleni region gathered at Germiston stadium to compete in the Golden Games on July 29.

They competed in various spotting codes including jukskei, duck walk, dress-up and running.

Kathorus was represented by various elderly groups including the Pull Together Senior Citizens Club, Shepherds Heaven Community, Khayalethu Service Center and Novensi Elderly Club.

The winners will form a provincial team, which will represent the Gauteng province as they go out to challenge the other eight provinces across the country.

Golden Games winners are as follows:

• Jukskei: Annah Morolong

• Duck walk: Lindi Hlatshwayo

• Dress-up: Siphiwe Kunene

• 100m: Mapitso Mtshali

• 800m: Dudu Nxumalo
