Members of the Primrose SAPS arrested one suspect after a business robbery on Rietfontein Road on August 12.

The police received a complaint of a business robbery in progress and attended to the scene.

Sergeant Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS corporate communications officer, said when the two robbers realised they were cornered they tried to flee.

“Police apprehended one. They searched him and found a firearm and ammunition in his possession,” said Maome.

He was arrested and detained at Primrose Police Station where he was charged with business robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

“The manhunt for the other suspect continues,” said Maome.
