Members of the community, the ward councillor and the first-ever crowned Miss and Mr Klopperpark queen and king joined in the fun.
The planting of the trees project kicked off when Ward 92 Clr Kade Guerreiro and Jennifer Moss, a ward committee member serving in the portfolio of environment, planted trees at the Sunnyridge Howe Circle.

Miss Klopperpark queen, Buhlebenkosi Lithitha Pokwana, is a Grade Six learner at the Sunnyridge Primary School.
She intends to use her title to increase awareness of social issues including crime and bullying.
Reflecting on the trees initiative she said it was a privilege to be part of a project serving the community.
Guerreiro encouraged residents to take care of their environment and create more green spaces in the ward.
“As leaders, we encouraged young people to contribute to the project. We picked the clinic because it had more open spaces,” said Guerreiro.
