Police conduct a mini-Okae Molao operation to prevent carjacking.

Members of the public are encouraged to join CPF structures to assist police in fighting crime.

Police intensified their visibility and prevention measures of possible carjackings during a mini-Okae Molao operation along Brickfield Road at Spruitview on October 6.

Katlehong South SAPS media liaison officer Constable Sivenkosi Mtwa said the police members ensure that they remain resolute and unshaken in all corners of Katlehong policing precincts by conducting stop and searches to minimize, if not completely squeeze spaces for criminals to operate.

Katlehong South SAPS led a roadblock during a mini-Okae Molao operation.

“The police are calling on community members to join or form structures that will work with the police and act within the ambit of the law, such structures include the CPF, the neighbourhood watch and many others,” Mtwa explained.
