Ithembelihle to host chess tournament

This tournament is to raise funds for the school to be able to buy learners sports attire.

Ithembelihle LSEN School is hosting a chess tournament on May 13 and is inviting the community to join them and even play.

This tournament is to raise funds for the school to be able to buy learners sports attire.

Those who are interested in playing in the tournament can contact the school to get the full information regarding the tournament.

The school is in need of funding as most of the learners come from disadvantaged families and cannot afford it as they rely on disability grants which do not cover much.

With winter being around the corner the school also need assistance with buying uniform for their children.

As the school is state-aided and most learners come from disadvantaged backgrounds, they cannot afford to buy winter uniforms.

The winter uniform includes a tracksuit, jersey, golf shirt, school drimac, and pullover.
