Rent-a-While Service Centre for the Aged manager, Trudy Carreira, hosted a birthday jumble sale on July 26 at the centre.
She said she wanted to celebrate by giving back to the centre.
”Instead of a traditional celebration, I wanted to raise funds for the centre. Instead of my loved ones spending the money on me, I wanted them to spend it at the centre,” said Carreira.

The initiative brought together family, friends, and the community.
The event was filled with excitement as supporters browsed through a variety of donated items, contributing towards the wellbeing and continued development of the centre.
The funds raised will assist with resources and daily needs, ultimately benefiting the elderly in their care.
“The overwhelming support from loved ones and the community highlighted the strong sense of unity and care that surrounds Rent-A-While. I’m humbled by the support received,” said Carreira.
