Double murder case against Nkosinathi Mabasa moved to March 7 for further investigations

Mabasa in court for two male bodies found in a touched sedan in Primrose last year.

Nkosinathi Mabasa appeared in the Germiston Regional Court on January 23, facing charges of double murder linked to a grisly incident in Primrose last October.

The accused is charged with the murder of two men whose charred bodies were discovered in a burnt-out vehicle near Wannemburg Clinic on October 2.

This marked Mabasa’s fourth court appearance, following two sessions in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court before the case was escalated to the regional court.

On Thursday, the court postponed proceedings until March 7 to allow for further investigations, including the submission of a photo album of the incident and additional police files.

The Germiston City News first reported the story when Ekurhuleni Fire Department spokesperson William Ntladi confirmed the discovery of the bodies.

The Primrose Fire Station team responded to multiple gunshots near Pretoria and Mimosas roads.

They found a sedan fully engulfed in flames. Once the fire was extinguished, two bodies were located inside the vehicle.

Mabasa has been remanded in custody until his next court date.
