Man arrested in Primrose with R80 000 in suspected stolen goods
A joint operation by the EMPD led to the arrest of a man found with R80 000 worth of suspected stolen items in Primrose.
A co-ordinated police operation saw the EMPD act on intelligence to intercept a 43-year-old man allegedly in possession of stolen goods in Primrose on September 19.
EMPD Community Liaison Unit officers, the SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit and Hlasela Tactical Solution tracked the man to a house on Mimmosa Street.
On their arrival, the man tried to flee by jumping over a wall, but officers pursued him and apprehended him.

A property search revealed a large quantity of items estimated to be valued at R80 000. The items included computer mouses, glutathione capsules, firming body wash, drinking bottles, a black Umarex TP 50 compact gas gun, salon curling irons, two-way socket couplers and razors.

When questioned, the man had no receipts or details of where he got the items, leading officers to seize all the goods and book them at the Primrose Police Station.
Officers immediately arrested the man, who remains in custody, facing charges of possession of suspected stolen goods. He will soon appear at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
