EMPD media liaison officer Katlego Mphahlele said a Symantec verification was conducted using the VIN displayed on the windscreen and the vehicle tested positive as stolen under a case registered in Seshego.

“Further inspection of the yard led to the discovery of various vehicle parts. The front section of a hijacked white Nissan Impendulo tested positive under a Springs case, while parts belonging to a hijacked Hyundai Tucson were also identified and linked to a Vosloorus case,” said Mphahlele.

All three recovered vehicles and related parts were booked in at the Aeroton SAPS Pound for safekeeping and further investigation.
