Ward 92 councillor Kade Guerreiro has highlighted outcomes from the recent voter registration weekend, noting a generally positive turnout at voting stations.

Residents used the opportunity to register as voters and update their details ahead of forthcoming elections.

While participation levels were encouraging, he said more targeted efforts are needed to improve registration among young and first-time eligible voters.

Guerreiro added that many residents also raised ongoing service delivery challenges during the process.

Electricity disruptions and deteriorating road infrastructure were repeatedly cited as key concerns requiring urgent intervention.

He stressed the importance of sustained engagement between residents and government structures to ensure that community issues are addressed effectively and consistently.
