Biker left with serious injuries after horrifying crash in Germiston

A motorcyclist sustained serious burn and trauma wounds during a crash, in Germiston, on August 10.

City of Ekurhuleni emergency services rescue team responded to the incident involving the motorbike and interlinked truck at the corner of Jack and Refinery roads at about 07:30.

“On arrival, we assessed the biker had sustained serious wounds and he was treated on the scene and was later hospitalised,” said DEMS spokesperson William Ntadi.

“The truck driver escaped without injuries. The actual cause of the crash is undetermined. The intersection was closed off for traffic as rehabilitation continued,” said Ntladi.
