Cyclist race for the 15th edition of Emperors Palace Road Classic

This year participants could test their metal over 98km or enjoy a shorter 48km route.

Kai Pritzen of Benoni, Dusty Day of Klerksdorp and Miguel Carvalho of Edenvale were among the cyclists who excelled in the 98km race of the 2024 Emperors Palace Road Classic held on the roads of Ekurhuleni on March 25. The trio competed in the 98km vets 30+ category with Day (second from the right) taking top honours in this division with a time of 2:14:51 followed by Pritzen (second left) in second with 2:14:56 and Carvalho third with 2:15:37. They are seen with one of the organisers of the race.

Over 2000 athletes took part in the recent Emperors Palace Road Classic.

Held on March 25, the race saw cyclists of various ages and capabilities take to the starting line of the 15th edition of the race.
