SA Guide Dogs to participate in cycling event on November 17

SA Guide Dogs Association is calling on the public to join its team for this year's Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg.

The SA Guide Dogs Association for the Blind has announced its participation in the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg 2024.

The event will take place on Sunday, November 17 at the FNB Stadium.

In the spirit of Leap Year, the association invites people to join Team Guide Dogs and make a significant difference in the lives of visually impaired people in South Africa.

Every day, the SA Guide Dogs Association empowers individuals to take leaps of faith, whether it’s their clients placing trust in their guide dogs, embracing newfound independence with a white cane, or their donors investing in their mission.

Each action represents a leap towards a brighter, more inclusive future.

By participating in the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg alongside Team Guide Dogs, riders will directly contribute to the training of more Assistance Dogs for the visually impaired, physically disabled, and children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as the purchase of essential assistive devices.

Every pedal stroke and donation will help transform lives and fulfil aspirations.
