Help Germiston SPCA raise funds for a new vehicle

Bedfordview SPCA needs your help to raise R250 000 for a new vehicle to provide relief to animals in need.

The Germiston Bedfordview SPCA is inviting the community to support their biggest fundraiser to date.

The campaign, A Ride for Rescues, aims to raise R250 000 for a new vehicle.

“Every day, our inspectorate staff face the difficult task of responding to animal cruelty, neglect, and urgent rescue situations.

“But with only one fully operational vehicle, they are often forced to choose which animals to save first.

“This new vehicle will mean we no longer have to make those impossible choices,” said the volunteer for fund development and management, Jacques Peacock.

“For years, our staff’s biggest dream has been to have another vehicle. They’ve seen the need in our community and have been ready to do more—but they’ve been held back by limited resources.

“Now, we’re asking the community to help make their biggest dream come true,” added Peacock.

The branch is pleading with the community to support the drive and help save stray and injured animals.

“Your donation won’t just help buy a vehicle it will help save lives. From rescuing stray and injured animals to investigating cases of cruelty, your support will directly impact the animals most in need.

“This is our biggest fundraiser yet, and it’s a chance for everyone to come together to give animals the protection and care they deserve.

“No amount is too small—every rand brings us closer to giving our team the wheels they need to make a difference. Be their wheels to freedom,” stated Peacock.
