The advert that called for submissions of proposals, which was carried in social media, national press and community media, was clear on the deadline.
The department thanked all the NPOs who submitted their applications. Over 1 500 proposals were received by the department when the applications closed.
“The application assessments process for the 2025/26 funding cycle was centralised with the full inclusion of all relevant staff and panelling of the proposals is well underway and the department is gearing towards the signing of SLAs and ultimately releasing funds on time for a smoother beginning of the new financial year,” said GDSD communications officer Motsamai Motlhaolwa.
