Stepping Stone Hospice charity shop offers sweet deals

Stepping Stone Hospice’s charity shop staff and volunteers have prepared unbeatable deals to make this month extra special for your loved ones, all while raising funds to keep their doors open.

Stepping Stone Hospice’s charity shop staff and their volunteers are feeling the love this month, and they want to share it with the community.

The charity shop at the Stats Building at 2 Fore Street, New Redruth in Alberton, is offering some unbeatable deals to locals, all while raising vital funds for Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services.

The charity shop has the perfect gift for your loved one during this month of love. Tebogo Segabetla, the shop manager, said they were thrilled and beaming with pride to offer fantastic deals to their customers.

“Our shelves are overflowing with romantic trinkets and a beautiful selection of books to make this month of love even more special. Your purchases will support our Hospice and the incredible work we do for our community. Through our clinical palliative care, we aim to improve the quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families,” he said.

The delighted shop manager stated that their dedicated volunteers had been working tirelessly to sort and price donations, and they were confident that everyone would find something they love.

The 5-star Association of Palliative Care Facilities (APCC)-accredited Hospice relies on the generosity of the community, the public sector, fundraising, bequests, donations, patient accounts, and the sale of second-hand clothing and goods.

Because of their commitment and promise to improve the quality of life, they treat everyone who qualifies, regardless of their financial and social circumstances.

“The charity shop welcomes an array of items, including household furniture, general bric-a-brac, clothing, linens, appliances, crockery, cutlery, glassware, books, sporting equipment, and more. If you have any of these items or other preloved items you’d like to donate, please contact us at 010 442 5201/5059 to arrange a collection for bulk and larger items,” Segabetla said.

Should locals wish to donate their preloved items, they may drop them off at the charity shop.

The shop is open from 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and from 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays.
