Entities join hands for donations and awareness for Leeuwpoort Primary

"We also donated school uniform and school shoes and school bags to learners.

Ekurhuleni Clinical Forensic Medical Services, known as Bertha Gxowa Care Centre, visited Leeuwpoort Primary School to raise awareness and donate school uniforms.

The campaign was in partnership with the following stakeholders: Germiston SAPS, the Department of Social Development, the Department of COGTA, CSP, Ekupholeni, and the Department of Sports Arts and Culture.

The campaign focused on topics such as child abuse, teenage pregnancy and bullying.

Hazel Moagi and members from other stakeholders visited Leeuwpoort Primary School to donate school items and raise awareness among learners.

Different government departments and non-governmental organisations gave presentations on different topics and handed out pamphlets on anti-bullying to the learners.

“Learners were taught about types of abuse, and the importance of reporting any form of abuse as soon as possible,” said Hazel Moagi.

“We also donated school uniforms, school shoes and school bags to learners.

“This school uniform donation drive is an annual event that CFMS started during their June 16 event in 2022.

“Different government departments also participated in donating shoes.”
