WATCH: Delville residents protest over alleged police bias at Germiston station

Delville residents staged a peaceful protest this week, alleging corruption and bias at their local police station.

A group of concerned Delville residents protested outside the Germiston Police Station this week, accusing officers of corruption and bias after allegedly being denied the right to open an assault case.

The protest stems from an incident involving a security guard at a local housing complex. Residents claim he assaulted one of their own.

When they tried to lay a charge at the station, they allege officers refused to open a case.

According to the protestors, the station commander has shown favouritism toward the accused, leaving them feeling marginalised and ignored.
