Gauteng Education offers extended support for parents ahead of 2026 learner placements

The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) Contact Centre will operate extended hours until December 13 to assist parents with learner placement queries for the 2026 school year.

The GDE Contact Centre has announced extended operating hours until December 11, including Saturday, December 13, to support parents with queries regarding learner placement for the 2026 academic year.

Parents are reminded that Saturday will be the final day of extended hours for 2025.

From December 15 to 24, the Contact Centre will resume normal operating hours, 07:30–16:30, Monday to Friday.

Parents and guardians can contact the GDE for assistance via telephone on 0800 000 789 or WhatsApp at 060 891 0361.

The extended hours aim to ensure a smooth and efficient learner placement process ahead of the new school year.
