The City of Ekurhuleni conducted a by-law enforcement blitz in Germiston, where building control officials inspected an illegally occupied property as part of ongoing efforts to improve compliance and public safety.

During the operation, immigration officials detained several individuals who were found to have questionable documentation.

The City said in a media statement that the multi-agency operation forms part of its ongoing drive to address illegal occupation, enforce municipal by-laws and create safer communities.
