City of Ekurhuleni music workshop empowers aspiring artists

Industry experts shared their knowledge on music creation, branding, publishing and rights management to help emerging artists navigate South Africa's competitive music industry.

The City of Ekurhuleni, in partnership with Jozi Entertainment and CAPASSO, recently hosted a music workshop at the Dumisani Masilela Theatre to empower aspiring artists.

Attendees were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to build successful careers in the music industry.

Facilitated by established music professionals, the workshop covered key aspects of the industry, including accessibility, music creation, publishing, rights management, marketing, branding and the importance of networking.

The award-winning, multi-platinum-selling label Jozi Entertainment empowered the next generation of South African music talent.

The initiative aimed to educate, inspire and equip aspiring musicians, producers, songwriters and entertainment entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools needed to build sustainable careers in the music industry.
