Theresa Stoop: “Yes, if it will help save people’s lives and make their lives easier then I would definitely donate my organs. I won’t need them anymore if I am dead.”
Community members take share their views on whether they would donate their body organs or not.
The answers varied as some felt they prefer to die with their body organs while others felt their organs would be of no use to them when they are dead and would much rather donate them to those who might need them.
It was rather interesting to hear from the community members as they elaborate further on the topic.
Jabulani Sibeko: “No, I wouldn’t because I won’t be complete without them and I don’t think I will rest in peace. I am not against those who donate but I wouldn’t.”
Ronel Allen: “No, I don’t think I would because I am not one with the idea of donating my organs. I have nothing against the practice but I just never considered it.”
Gert Rood: “Yes, I would donate any or all of my organs because it helps save people’s lives. Besides, there is no more burial space, so this might also help.”
Elizabeth Rood: “No, I don’t think I can because I was a cancer patient. I am blessed and not sick anymore though; I fully support those who are willing to donate.”
Nthabiseng Morajane: “Yes, I would donate my organs because a friend or family member might be in need of one of the organs. That one organ could help save a life.”
