Crime affecting communities

With crime escalating and communities feeling under siege, I believe it is time that as residents of the various townships in the Kathorus area we must unite and stand up against all forms of criminality in our neighbourhoods.

I am not encouraging vigilantism, but I urge all peace-loving members of our different communities to fight against crime by supporting the local police. People should not be scared to identify those who are involved in crime.

This can only be achieved if communities get together and commit themselves to exposing criminals in their areas. Crime has become a serious issue and the only way to eradicate it and get the criminals behind bars is when we stand together.

There are, in fact, fewer criminals than good people in our communities and this alone is evidence that we can stand together and fight against criminals and defeat crime as communities and not as vigilante groups.
