The Super League Cup finals were held at the Delville Sports Club, on Saturday.
The senior teams of Luso Africa FC, Germiston City FC, Highlands Park and Robertsham Callies were battling it out and showing youngsters how it is done.
There were two breathtaking games played.
The first saw Luso playing Germiston in the second division, and what a tension-packed game that was.
Both teams had energy all round.
Roughly 15 minutes into the game, the players were already sweating heavily and accumulating fouls.
It was an interesting game to watch, as both teams were strong, with good defence and shooting good goal attempts.
When the referee blew for half-time, the teams had scored one goal each, with the first being scored by Germiston.
Going back for the second half, Luso and Germiston both came out even stronger than before, because they knew that playing finals means there has to be one winner.
With neither team relaxing nor slacking behind, the game went into extra time of two periods of 15 minutes.
The extra time also ended in a draw, which resulted in penalties.
Luso won 5-6 through penalties.
When Devon Thomson, of Luso Africa, scored the winning penalty goal, the whole team ran up to him to have their victory run.
Both teams played a good game but at the end of it all there can only be one winner.
In the second game, Highlands Park played Robertsham Callies in the final of the first division.
The second match of the day produced less tension and was filled with a lot of tact and skill.
Highlands Park scored their first goal just one minute into the game.
Players were showing off their skill in this game, playing tricks with the ball, while dribbling to each other.
Robertsham began to feel the pressure when Highlands scored a second goal.
The first division teams played an excellent game with less fouls.
Robertsham scored their first goal in the second half, giving hope to their high-spirited fans.
The game ended with a score of 3-1, as Highlands scored another goal in the 86th minute of play.
Luso and Highlands were the winners of the day.
