The Germiston City Sports Club will host the Little Kickers event, on January 25.
Little Kickers is a football skills coaching clinic for children aged between 18 months and seven years.
The event, on Saturday, sees the launch of an ongoing development programme, and the focus is on fun.
Little Kickers is a national network of informal, yet professionally run training classes, where enthusiastic boys and girls are given a helping hand to stand on their own two feet.
A head start in sport is a fantastic investment in the children’s future.
The real goal of Little Kickers is to use football as a fun forum to instil extra confidence, co-ordination, control and a sense of camaraderie; which will see children go on to greater glory in the golden game.
“We strongly believe that children learn best when put in age appropriate groups.
“Every game we play can be adapted to meet the developmental needs and ability of any class,” said one of the organisers, Cristina Paul.
Little Kickers classes help children to discover the rewards of regular, structured physical exercise, laying the foundation for fit, active and healthy lives.
The programmes introduces real football skills through exciting group play activities.
Valuable concepts, like sharing; taking turns, teamwork and listening to instructions, are incorporated in the activities.
The classes also enable children to develop co-ordination, agility and balance, and early learning concepts such as colours and numbers are gently introduced through football.
The football equipment used is realistic and child-friendly.
Parents are encouraged to book their children for a free session, so that they can experience the awesomeness of Little Kickers.
Parents are also welcome to come and support their children.
Everybody is welcome to come and join in the fun, and the event will run from 9am until 11am.
