Assumption are the Inter-Catholic Netball champions

The Assumption Convent School’s first netball team participated in the Inter-Catholic Netball Festival held at Brescia House, on May 16.

Eighteen schools competed in this prestigious event. In the preliminary round, Assumption Convent played against Holy Rosary, De la Salle College, Holy Family, St Thomas Aquina’s and St Ursula’s.

After the group stages Assumption was pitted against the winners of the other two groups, namely Brescia and St Dominic’s.

Assumption won these matches as well, which helped the team to end the festival unbeaten and the overall winners of the 2015 Inter-Catholic Open Netball Festival.
