Ekurhuleni’s mayor heads for Comrades Marathon

Ekurhuleni’s executive mayor, Clr Mondli Gungubele, will be among the athletes at the Comrades Marathon happening this Sunday, May 31.

The Comrades Marathon is the world’s oldest and largest ultra-marathon run over a distance of approximately 90km between Pietermaritzburg and the coastal city of Durban.

Sunday’s Comrades will be Clr Gungubele’s sixth.

“I have been hard at work for many months now.

“My preparations have been going well and come Sunday I will collect yet another medal,” he said.
