The Germiston SPCA held its annual Golf Day at the Germiston Golf Club, on Sunday.
“This is our annual fund-raiser for the SPCA,” said Germiston SPCA chairman Pam West.
“We have to have a means to raise funds, as we are in dire need of them.
“We have 108 golfers taking part at our event and we are truly grateful for that; it really is a great turn-out.”
West also told the GCN how grateful the society is to the golf club.
“A big thank you goes to the Germiston Golf Club for all they have done for us and for contributing towards making this day possible,” she said.
“Another thank you goes to our general sponsors and players, because without you none of this would have been possible and the day wouldn’t have been the great success that it turned out to be.”
“This is a great initiative and we are happy to be able to be a part of it,” said Daryl Sogot, from Jack Russell Estates.
“We (Jack Russell Estates) and BMV Attorneys sponsored one of the holes.”
A prize-giving ceremony was held shortly after the golf action out in the warm sun.
