SA Open officially opened at Glendower Golf Club
Clr Mondli Gungubele, Ekurhuleni's executive mayor, did the honours of officially teeing off the 105th edition of the SA Open Championship tournament at Glendower Golf Club. The tournament is set to continue until Sunday, January 10.
The executive mayor of Ekurhuleni, Clr Mondli Gungubele, officially teed off the 105th edition of the SA Open Championship tournament and declared it open at Glendower Golf Club, in Edenvale, on January 7.
“The second oldest open championship tournament is now on and is proudly hosted by the metro for the fifth consecutive time,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.
“The golf tournament is set to continue until Sunday, January 10, with the tournament’s five times champion and tournament host, Ernie Els, also expected to show off his best swings and putting on the Glendower Golf Course throughout the tournament.”
