Dewald de Wet (10) of the Raptors Wrestling Club in Primrose recently competed in the Northern Gauteng Wrestling Tournament.

The tournament, which is one of the most competitive tournaments on the wrestling calendar, was held at the Northern Gauteng wrestling hall and saw top teams from different provinces competing for their share of the silverware.

The Northern Gauteng wrestling hall was the venue for the recent Northern Gauteng Wrestling Tournament.

Each province was represented by only one wrestler per weight division, irrespective of age.

This meant the wrestler in each division competed in four tough matches.
