Simmer prepare to tackle new season
After the success of their 2017 season the Germiston Simmer Rugby Club has begun preparing for the new season.
On the heels of another successful and rewarding year the Germiston Simmer Rugby Club is ready to make 2018 a year to remember.
“Simmer had an amazing season with four of our five teams playing in the semi-finals and two teams making it to the finals.
“The first team walked away from the season as winners of the Bailey Cup and the senior sevens team also won the plate final at the Lions Sevens Tournament, after beating the Pirates Rugby Club in the final,” said club president Rene Audier.
The club has begun their 2018 training, and hold practises on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Germiston Stadium, located at the corner of Webber and Delville North roads. Practises are held from 6.30pm to 8pm.
