The annual Fred Morrison half-marathon will have runners hitting the streets of Germiston on Sunday, September 9.
It is time once again, as winter turns to spring, for runners to tackle the annual Fred Morrison half-marathon.
This race, which is hosted by Germiston Callies Harriers, honours Fred Morrison who was a well-known successful runner and a compatriot of Wally Hayward and Jackie Mekler.
Morrison was also the chairperson of Callies for many years.

The race will be held on Sunday, September 9, with runners starting and ending the race at Germiston Stadium.
The event will have two distances, namely a 21.1km and 10km race.
The route is a single lap with the 10km race turning off to the finish at the 9km mark and both categories start at 7am.
Callies will also host a 5km fun run on the day, starting at 7.30am, which aims to raise funds for a worthy charity.
