Gym proud of walker’s achievement

Hard work pays off for competitive walker.

Jeffrey Beattie from Unique Physique Gym in Primrose recently competed in the Johnson Crane walk.

Although Beattie suffers from epilepsy and lupus, he pushes hard in the gym under the watchful eye of his trainer Marius Wessels.

“We at Unique Physique are very proud of Beattie and what he has accomplished,” said Wessels.

“Beattie maintains a fit and healthy lifestyle and managed to get his 20th medal in competitive walking.”

The Johnson Crane is also a qualifying race for the Comrades Marathon.

Beattie finished the 10km walk in one hour and 36 minutes.
