Germiston City Football Club travelled to Vosloorus, last Saturday, for their Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League encounter against Musa United Football Club.
Germiston, who drew their last two matches, applied the pressure from the first whistle hoping to clinch an early goal.
But, their efforts did not pay off and Dembi Mayimela was soon blown up for a late tackle.

The visitors continued the attack with Thshepo Moketsi, known as the Kathlehong Express, back in his familiar position of right flank making some excellent runs down the right of the field.
His advances were cause for some concern for Musa when he found Tendai Rufai close to the goal.
Sadly Rufai missed his shot from close range.
This seemed to shake the team and they began to make a few mistakes, allowing Musa to dominate the remainder of the first half.
Germiston’s luck ran out in the 43rd minute when Musa pulled the Germiston defense wide leaving the mid-field exposed and allowing the home side to score a goal just before the half-time break.
Germiston’s goalkeeper Luyanda Mabaso was put to work early in the second half making a great save and keeping Musa only one point ahead.
This spurred the team on and soon Mayimela made a break down left field.
A good cross kick found Banti Molisi who netted the ball, off a deflection.

With the score now tied at 1-1 Germiston seemed to take control of the match and didn’t allow the home team much room to attack.
Germiston had a second chance at goal when a kick from Moketsi found the head of Anthony Uzochukwu, who sadly headed the ball over the cross-bar.
Germiston’s dominating spell seemed to come to an end when a rash decision meant Musa was fouled just outside the goal box.
Germiston’s goalkeeper made a good save but couldn’t hold onto the rebound and Musa scored, with their only attack of the half.
The visiting team seemed to control the rest of the game but just couldn’t find the back of net losing 2-1.
The reserve side lost to their Musa United FC opponents 0-2.
