Young tennis player needs help to soar
Talented tennis player needs the community’s help.
Tadiwanashe Chipfakacha (19) is a young woman on a mission to become a world-class tennis player.
She is coached by professional tennis coach Loyiso Matsha from Ekurhuleni Tennis School of Excellence, which is based at Germiston Stadium in Delville.
“She is a burning spear and has all the qualities of representing the country at senior level one day,” said Matsha.
“But, tennis is an expensive sport, and in order to soar to greater heights, Chipfakacha will need to play at least seven tournaments a year.”
During her junior career she won many junior tournaments.
The highlight of her career so far was winning the Gauteng East u-18 girls’ singles title in 2016 when she surprised everybody and beat all the girls in Ekurhuleni.

Chipfakacha was working towards her Cambridge examinations, last year, at school, but unfortunately as both her parents are unemployed, she could not write her examinations.
She is now at home, but is continuing with her tennis.
“An appeal is being made to any individual or company willing to assist this girl realise her dream of finishing her examinations, as well as to allow her to participate in at least five tennis tournaments this year to realise her dream of getting a college scholarship to study in the United States, next year,” said Matsha.
