Young wrestlers bring home medals from Tuks Challenge
Raptors Wrestling Club honed their skills at the recent Tuks Challenge.
In the last tournament before Covid-19 postponed events and practices for the foreseeable future several young members of the Raptors Wrestling Club earned a number of medals.

The Tuks Challenge was held at the LC de Villiers Arena in Pretoria, recently, and saw over 500 competitors competing for top honours.
The Raptors’ wrestlers results were:
• Janick Kruger won a silver medal.
• Caleb Botha won a silver medal.
• Anton Strydom won a gold medal.
• Nathan van Niekerk won a gold medal.
• Jaun Vorster won a gold medal.
• Daniella de Wet won a silver medal and placed fourth.
• Dewald de Wet (Jnr) won a silver medal.
• Ada Smith won a silver medal.
• Chris Kruger placed fourth.
• Ciara Deale placed fifth.

“Our wrestlers were pleased with their results and are excited to start wrestling again,” said head coach Dewald dDe Wet (Snr).
“In the meantime they continue to practice at home.”
