Ekurhuleni Basketball League expands to two new divisions
ELBA's U20 and senior teams to form part of the Ekurhuleni Basketball League.
The Ekurhuleni Basketball League has expanded to include a U20 and seniors league.

It previously only consisted of the U14, U16 and U18 leagues.
The new leagues will commence on May 28 at the Edenvale basketball courts as well as Germiston Stadium.
Coach Edson Makavan of Edenvale Lions Basketball Academy (ELBA) said this will be one of the biggest leagues in Gauteng.
“We are all excited about this announcement and are already grinding and working hard in preparation for it,” `said the coach.
The club’s U18 are the current champions holding the title three times in a row.

He said the expansion was always in the pipeline.
ELBA’s U19 team took part in the Soweto tournament on May 20, a prep for the upcoming June 16 basketball festival also taking place in Soweto.
Their U14s took part in the U14 Ekurhuleni Basketball League held at Germiston Stadium against Bedfordview Kings.
