The South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) invites you to its charity golf day at the Benoni Country Club on October 31.

The NPO, which relies heavily on its fundraising efforts and support from corporates, individuals and the public, hopes to raise R150 000 for life-saving stem cell transplants and to continue its life-saving work.

All proceeds from the sales of four-balls will go towards the organisation’s Patient Assistance Programme established to assist families that cannot cover donor-related costs associated with a transplant as well as ramping up its donor recruitment efforts to recruit and educate more donors and diversify the registry.

According to the NPO, various marketing and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Benoni’s long distance swimmer, Christine Roos has previously raised funds for the SABMR when she completed the Robben Island Crossing in 2021 and False Bay Crossing last November.
