Young gymnast earns Ekurhuleni colours and shines at Gauteng festival

Eight-year-old Edenglen Primary learner Emma Sekgwama has proudly earned her Ekurhuleni district colours and represented the region at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Gauteng Festival, showcasing talent, discipline, and determination.

Eight-year-old gymnast Emma Sekgwama is flipping her way into the spotlight.

The talented Grade Three learner from Edenglen Primary School has made her community proud after officially earning her Ekurhuleni district colours this month.

Emma was selected by the Ekurhuleni District Gymnastics Association to represent the district at the prestigious Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Gauteng Festival, which took place recently.

Training tirelessly at the Germiston Gymnastics Club, Emma has shown exceptional dedication, discipline and talent—qualities that have earned her a well-deserved place on the provincial stage. Her coaches and peers have expressed great confidence in her abilities.
