Cosacsa marketing and communications officer Tshepo Mokoena said the festivities were two-day events, starting with the league competitions on Saturday, followed by the Cosacsa Cup on Sunday.
“We are closing the league today. We use a point system, and after seven games, we will award the top three position holders,” said Mokoena.
“The same eight teams also compete in the Cosacsa TVET Cup, top-eight style, which includes knockouts. This time, we are playing the quarter-finals, and the semi-finals will be played in September.
“This is not just another match day; it’s a showcase of talent, passion and the future of Gauteng sports.
“Our teams are ready to deliver top-class performances, the coaches are prepared to lead with focus and determination, and our committee members are present to give their full support throughout the event.

“We will also select a provincial team to compete in Cosacsa’s national event.
“We expect competitive action, unity and unforgettable moments as we identify and groom the finest players to represent Gauteng with pride.
“These games unite municipalities and students. It is a chance for them to network. Before the year ends, we will host a ceremony to award students in sports, art and culture,” said Mokoena.
